Being born in the 21st century means a new way of learning. Some schools are using electronic devices to distribute and receive class information easier. This is said to be a more efficient and cleaner way of learning than the pencil and paper. This change in learning methods cause a growth in knowledge if the user is guided properly. The use of tablets and laptops are a new visual way to learn material.
Using electronic devices makes it easier to learn and access information. Throwing papers into you locker or backpack makes it difficult to find papers, which the devices prevent. Devices automatically save files in order by date or alphabet, which makes the information easier to find. It also gives the student a visual of the material because they have to write it themselves. It is environmentally safer than throwing away a bunch of paper too! Examiner explains more advantages/disadvantages of electronic devices(http://www.examiner.com).
I know the tablets received in school are supposed to be an efficient way of learning, but I don't care for it. When I use my tablet, I eventually get bored and sidetrack because there is so much I can do instead of a lesson. I end up playing online games or drawing in journal, which causes me to put my attention into something else. Personally, I like the old fashion paper and pencil better because I'll focus more without being distracted. Is using a electronic device more beneficial than the traditional way of learning? How do you feel about using the tablets in school?
