Learning is a huge feature that separates humans from other living creatures. All living things think, but I feel we think on higher levels. Aposable thumbs gave us the ability to use tools, but we had to think about how to use and create them. We combined tools and our needs to create whatever we wanted. When we needed more space, humans built up towards the sky. Skyscrapers became shelters.
Scientist say the evolution of our brain started once early humans ate meet. The extra protein (instead of eating plants all the time) increased the capacity and efficiency of the human brain. Over time, our brain power continued to soar, which separates us from our ancestors. Don't get me wrong, monkeys and apes are smart too! Scientist and care takers teach some monkeys sign laungage and they have the ability to carry on full conversations! A famous Orangutan named Chantek lived on the campus at the University of Tennesee at Chattanooga in the 1970s. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chantek)
All animals use there for survival and being social, but I feel humans have broaden their range. Humans, like many living things, communicate with others and manage groups that have leaders. The main thing that separates us from animals is the ability to use tools more efficiently than them. This makes civilized and more successful. How do you think we are different from animals?
